Nice cafe and bar with a large event room upstairs. Has an old style feel to it. Very popular with people especially on Eden park game days.

For me,this was 3 stars. Food was great (although some meals were a little salty, and there wasn't much variety in the lunch menu), great staff, nice enough venue, beautiful presentation (check out the photos ).

But I struggled to feel comfortable paying $28 for fish and chips before adding drinks!

If you don't worry about money, The Dominion is a great place to go. But if you are watching your dollars, this might not be the best choice for you.

We just passing by on our beautiful scenic road trip, north NZ, stayed at Bavaria BB. So we came for steaks at The Dominion. Was the best steak since last time we had at Wanaka, and very friendly staffs. Shame it too far for next meal of steak 0_o

A great experience! The food was filling and satisfying, and the customer service was AMAZING!! The waitress threw in a free dessert for me and my date at the end because I had a disappointing day, and she even allowed me to use my Groupon when I was supposed to use it before 3pm. Super impressed, will come again.

The food is one of the best that I've had and it is very spacious which is good for people meeting up catching up and there's a good variety of foods and drinks.

The wine list appears to be extensive. However we were there for a quick Sunday meal so did not explore the choices available. The meal was quick but unremarkable.
