Ive dealt with these guys 3 times and the last 2 times Ive felt ripped off. This last time was simply to reinstall an OS for a refurbished Macbook as the software was no longer available on App Store due to age. I had just purchased the MacBook from them 2 weeks prior and they charged me an additional $200 for this even though it is under their 6 month 'warranty'. Won't be returning in future.

I took our iPad in, and while we didn't get the call back in the 3-4 working days as promised when we did get told what was what, it sounded as if the device was unfixable and i asked them to see if they could save anything on it and lo and behold, a week later they called to say they've got it going, it's overheating a bit, but still going.. and when i go to collect the device.. there's no additional charge from the original $80 fee.so i was pretty happy with the result and it's not overheating much either. Which reminds me, i must back the beast up before anything happens to it again!

Agree with the beware comment!!! This place is shocking repaired iPhone 6s on a Sunday. On the same day the touch started playing up, I had to turn my phone off every time to get screen touch work again. Next day was lifting out of the phone. Called to tell them , so there would be a record, on Thursday fell 1 inch out of my pocket on back (not on the screen)on to chair I was sitting on smashed the screen. Called and they told me to go in , took it in and they reackon it was physical damaged and voided warranty .Manager to call me back but had to call myself. Still gave me the same excuse !!! For $160 this is appalling !!!!

Beware! Spent close to 700 dollars for a surface pro 3 screen repair. The screen spontaneously cracked within a week indicating that this was poorly repaired. They would not believe us citing "physical damage" and asks for another $400 repair at cost price. Unfortunately despite the crack being small, the screen is unusable. Furthermore they are almost impossible to get hold of through email. Also lost my $200 surface keyboard rendering the computer useless. Save your money and repair at reputable stores. We will be taking this up with the commerce commision.

Actually very disappointed. Took computer in on Saturday. By Tuesday I had heard nothing so I called. They said they would call me back Wednesday. By Wednesday I had heard nothing so I called. Technician was out on a call (fixing someone's computer? Why not fixing my computer?) They said he would ring back in an hour but I heard nothing so I called. They told me they would give me an update by 'this evening' (bear in mind at this point I had received no information about the necessary repair). I heard nothing (I was told a voicemail had been left - no voicemail had been left, I checked call log - no call had been made) so I called at about 6pm. They told me the computer would be ready by tomorrow and it was an OS fault. They would ring me when it was ready. I heard nothing on Thursday so I called. After a while involving them saying they had no record of me, my computer or my phone number they told me the computer was ready to be picked up. I will not use these people again

These guys are really friendly and super professional. When I brought in my mac after dropping it on holiday, Gabrielle, one of their employees let me sty in their shop for a couple of hours to see if a problem that developed with our Macbook would reoccur. When we established the problem had miraculously disappeared by it self, he didn't even charge me! Good honest business.

Very average experience. Took my phone in to have screen repaired. Quote was expensive but i needed a quick turn around so accepted. Went back to pick up after 1 week screen had been replaced very poorly and glass was peeling away on front and rear of phone, so left with them to finish. Took 2 more visits for this to be sorted. Went I finally got it back job was 8/10 but I needed the phone. 1 week later realised that the camera in the phone no longer worked. Took back. They had the phone for another month before finally admitting they could not repair and would replace my phone for a new one, and that they had lost all of my data. Finally received a new (refurbished) phone back now with a warranty from the core, with whom I have no faith in as I don't believe they could fix a phone if they tried. (phone was under warranty with Samsung)
In short stay well clear. Terrible communication, i had to initiate all contact with them if I had not I believe they would still have my phone. Very expensive lesson learned.response / report this review -

Disappointing service with these guys. I had to make three trips to the store to pick up my laptop - the first two times the fault had not been properly repaired. This wasted time and money. The guys were nice enough but didn't apologise even once. Also, I initially emailed the store to say I'd like to go ahead with the repairs. I didn't receive any response despite sending two messages. When I eventually called the store to find out what was happening I was told my laptop was finished and waiting for me. Was surprised about this because I hadn't even received a confirmation to say my emails had been received and the repairs would be performed as requested. Not sure how long my laptop would have sat there waiting if I hadn't taken the initiative to call the store. The repair took a lot longer than it should have. Very poor service especially when you are paying $600 for it. I would recommend customers to try else where.

Pleasant, helpful, and fast. Also, not a good repair.
Unfortunately the repair was flawed and fixing the repair has taken a month so far of waiting for an suitable time slot and component. I'm hopeful, and they are pleasant, but until it's actually sorted I can't encourage others to use them.response / report this review -

Worst experience!
These guys charge $300 for an iPhone screen replacement saying "we offer the best quality screens and service and a 12 month warranty". I was in a bind so I went for the trap. My screen starting lifting off the iPhone several days after, and the screen became scratched with very deep scores like no other screen I had seen. 1 week later the screen cracked while in a case because it was lifted from the frame of the phone. I went back to Core to discuss warranty and replacement and they said their was nothing they could do. They did offer me a 10% discount. Haha, like I was going to give them more margin above the normal $100 replacements you can find in Auckland!!
These guys charge a significant premium for a far below average service.
