Went in there to buy some makeup as my health isn’t good due to a medical condition and wanted to feel good. the place was manned by mean girls who thinly tried to hide their laughter at my less than perfect appearance. I walked out feeling worse which is exactly what they wanted! I wasn’t going to buy anything after that treatment and made a polite exit! In future I’ll stay away from upmarket stores and spend my money elsewhere. To be honest it wasn’t what I was expecting!. (Newmarket)

Went to Smith & Caughey's because they stocked Queen Anne chocolates. In keeping with Smith & Caughey's they were expensive costing in the order of $110/Kg.
Would only ever consider buying there if it was in a sale. Nice old fashion store catering for the affluent.

I got a free MAC lipstick. Can't complain at all! Also, was given great advice from the last at Benefit.

Its iconic department store in New Zealand. Very expensive, but you get the original products. If you love Blooming dales in New York. Then Smith & Caughey is the place.

I recently purchased a Gordon Ramsay Dinner set and wanted to add some additional place settings to it. The staff were most obliging and couldn't have been more helpful without being pushy. They rang me when the extra place settings were in stock and happily couriered them to me. TOP NOTCH SERVICE the arrived within a couple of days extremely well wrapped. I am most impressed with the service I got from all the staff I dealt with and would highly recommend them. I will definitely be going back. Thanks to Russell and his team.

The building itself is quite beautiful to look at. Built in 1929 and designed by the architect Roy Lippincott. Was here for the world press photography exhibition, which was fantastic.

Great variety of specialty items and designer goods (including wine). It lives up to it's reputation as an iconic store. Displays are, well thought out. Staff very friendlly, helpful and professional. Sales are always a delight with great discounts. The cafe makes the best cheese scones around! As,well as other delights that are hard to resist.

A wonderful history which continues to maintain its image over the years. A special place where I enjoy the atmosphere and staff professionalism. The shopping is amazing too.!!!

Whenever I am in I never receive any service, it's really miserable. Staff aren't there to help and act as if you're a burden for wanting a different size etc. Really disappointing and I'm very disillusioned with the place.

It could be good shop. But only could be. Where is a small size? I have xxs and it's a problem. And about lingerie Boring, mostly for someone who older than 40.

Pretty good. It's a nice department store, but found that some of the skincare staff were snobby- esp la prairie. Now I go to Mecca. It's a good place to still get all your other designer name brands.

The windows are different every Christmas, telling a delightful story. Their Santa is charming, insightful and sage. The enchanted forest is worth a visit on its own. It feels like a step back in time, wandering between the floors.
