Clean, good service and quite in dining room.

Dissapointing. Place was cold.advertised warm fire..no fire.
Staff were not happynot friendly and service was slow and poor.

This was a super charming little place that we stopped in on our way from Nelson to Christchurch! I had a good experience with the staff who seemed quite friendly! They're not super quick, but the food was just fine (we had the pre-made quiche and sandwich). We also had 2 takeaway cappuccinos which had a burnt taste to it but wasn't awful and we luckily liked it! It is very well laid out and a super cozy environment. Overall a great stop and we would recommend it!

Only visited the cafe. Soup of the day was bland - I'd be ashamed if I were the cook. Nachos were ok. Coffee was terrible. In general the place doesn't seem well looked after. Tables not clean, toilets not clean. Never again

Pry is the super star here. Great priced rooms and service too a tee. Great chefs in the kitchen and easy come easy go atmosphere.
Rooms don't have bathrooms but lots to share. For almost double the pub across the road has ensuitsresponse / report this review -

Staff very friendly, cosy place, poolroom. We were looking for gluten free products and they made a custom gluten free sandwich only for us, which was delicious. Highly recommended

Have been here a number of times as it is a nice stop off point on my way to Christchurch. Strangely enough I always seem to pass through Murchison around lunch time. The pies are really good. Great service too.
