  Felix, thanks again for a wonderful stay at your lodge. Rodney, Mike and I had a fantastic time. The fishing was as advertised, even better, and the accommodations were first class. I especially appreciated the attention to the details you have added to your lodge. You used the finest touches right down to the hardware on the doors and windows.
  
  The meals were a surprise and a good one. Ryan prepared outstanding dishes accompanied by exquisite presentation and topped off with the “Gong” ceremony.
  
  Of course the highlight for me was the 11.5 pound Big Brown that I caught, a fish that will linger in my memory forever.

  My husband & I just finished our stay at Owen River Lodge. The setting offers a beautiful view, the lodge and guest cabins are inviting, well appointed & tastfully designed. The cuisine is excellent. Felix and his staff cater to every need you might have.
  
  I am not the angler in the family, so I relaxed and explored the surrounding area while my husband fished-and yes he did catch some too! He says that the guides are experts at what they do and do their best to help their client catch the wiley brown trout.
  
  A great way to end our New Zealand adventure!
  Hope to visit again!!

  My wife and I stayed at Owen River Lodge as part of our honeymoon. It was one of the most memorable and relaxing experiences we have had. Felix and his team are so welcoming and provided anything we needed. The accommodations are very comfortable, the cabins are the perfect balance between rustic and sophisticated. Not to mention the view is incredible. The food did not disappoint either, it is as advertised five star! The fly fishing was a blast and our guide made it an experience we will never forget. My wife and I would absolutely recommend Owen River to anyone visiting New Zealand. If we go back we will make sure to stay here again!

  My family and I had the supreme pleasure of staying at the Owen River Lodge in November (2015). It was a remarkable experience that will long be remembered, treasured, and hopefully repeated. We went for the fishing, and were not disappointed. It was epic in every way; big fish, knowledgeable/helpful guides (with insanely keen eyesight), and breathtaking scenery. Beyond the thrilling fishing, we thoroughly enjoyed all the other elements provided at Owen River Lodge that warrant its five star rating. The accommodations were not only lovely inside and out, (with peaceful views of the tranquil area around the Owen River), but also incredibly comfortable. The food was exceptional; delicious and beautifully presented. Felix Borenstein, the proprietor, is a gracious, fun, and attentive host. This was truly the highlight of our trip to New Zealand and we heartily recommend it.

  We and an amazing time at Owen River Lodge. A beautiful setting with lovely cottage accommodation and gorgeous views. Very clean and beautifully decorated rooms with all we could need. Very comfortable beds too. We absolutely loved our time here and definitely plan to come back. Thank you Felix!
