This place is pure heaven. The hosts read your mind and anticipate every wish. Needless to say, the studio is excellently appointed and spotless. You will not get a more marvelous view anywhere. We have particularly enjoyed the super comfy bed and floor heating in the bathroom with a wonderful walk-in shower. The hosts were happy to answer all our questions about the area and New Zealand - we really enjoyed our conversations. We were welcome in the living room and the home dining area, and equally we had privacy in our studio whenever we wished. There are wonderful walks nearby and we hiked to a nearby peak. We highly recommend The Alpine Retreat!

This is a boutique hotel right up in the mountains above the lake in Queenstown. The premises are superb and really more than 5 star. The hosts Simone and Gavin are very gracious and the food they make is great. If you want something a bit different and simply want to chill this is the place. You can do numerous walks in the hills from here also. A Great place to stay. Oh and i forgot about the view, well of course it's stunning.
