Great wine and atmosphere. Definitely worth a trek to the top of the highest part of Waiheke island for the stunning view. Our wine guide was very professional and enthusiastic.

Although the winery is overall a nice place to visit during a day trip to the island, the decor seems to tell a story of a place that has no character. It looks like whoever picked the decor went to a Home Depot or At Home equivalent at New Zealand and bought everything that was in front of them, drove back and scattered the stuff around the property.

Exceptional poor service/attitude from manager today. Visiting the island for weekend an decided on Stoneridge to experience winetasting. After being seated by a waiter to be told by manager (I assume) that all tables reserved - they slapped a reserved sign after being seated! This is super inferior to South African hospitality!

So bad experience. My friend and I bought every year from Vinyard. No doubt the wines taste good, but this time the serivce for me was so terrible. I didn't take the passport to buy the wine. Yes following the law we have to take the passport or DL for buying or tasting a wine. I took my age prove with picture so I think it can be discussed. Cause I have came to other vinyards after that, the fact proves it worked(only buying no tasting). Whatever will never come again :(

Had an awesome day here with a group of close mates after a horrible experience next door at Wild on Waiheke. The owner Simon there seemed to have a problem with us from the start after what appeared to be him having a problem with a lady in our group being Irish as he was rude to her from the start as soon as he heard her accent 🙄
But it was a good thing he did, otherwise we would never of discovered Stonyridge. Which ended up being one of the best days ever. Beautiful setting, matched and met with beautiful food, wine and staff. Couldn't suggest anywhere more worthwhile visiting.

Small batch winery that focuses on quality over quantity. Great ethos to run their business by and it comes through in their wines. Full flavour French style blends with complexity that will cellar and reward well into the future.

Only did a tasting, not a tour, but this the wine we had was lovely. And the staff very friendly and knowledgable about what we got.

The views were also beautiful, even the weather was the best it was lovely to sit outside and drink it all in.

I enjoy the wine of this Vineyard. It was my first contact with New Zealand wine. The lunch was great.

Was here for a group function. Beautiful location and set up well for a long afternoon session with comfy chairs and a couple of bars. The food was a set menu for the group, simple, flavoursome and generous portions. All up, highly recommended.

We didn't do wine tasting (we just ordered a bottle of wine) but we had dinner and it was gorgeous! My companion had grilled vegetables super salad that she found to be superb. I had a steak that was very good but what made it truly memorable experience was few drops of olive oil and pesto that went wonderfully with the steak.
View was great as well, service friendly

Great wine but let down by average service and backpacker staff that were more interested in chatting to each other than providing a good experience to paying customers.

Edit - after walking less than 200m away to Wild on Waiheke and having decent service (not the same quality of wine but heyyou've got to enjoy the experience) & reading (and agreeing) with many of the other reviews here, I'd have to rate Stonyridge as a 1 star experience today. Not the end to a great day we were looking for.

Setting stunning. Wine lovely. Was told by maitre'de that we couldn't sit in the restaurant and order from the menu. He directed us to outside seating and a platters menu. He was arrogant and it appeared that walk-ins weren't welcome. All seating outside was taken up by a wedding party. Found somewhere to sit 1/ 2 way between inside and outside. Went to order tastings to be told staff were too busy to pour tastings and we had to wait for an hour. Less than 10 minutes later we saw people ordering and receiving tasting glasses. Olive platter lovely but waitress seemed to have a lot of difficulty finding us despite the largest patron number that I have ever had to sit beside. We also had to endure a woman deciding to change her baby 's nappy right beside us. The entire experience was memorable for the wrong reasons. Off to a friendly Vineyard now
