Good ambience! Pretty good service and good food. The buffet laid out was sufficient but should have been more organized so there would not be queuing for food. Also the finger food should have been served table wise in a more organized manner.

Nice rooms. Breakfast buffet needs work. Serves the same thing everyday and doesn't have options for those with dietary restrictions. Food selection and prices are poor. Nice place to stay that's about it. Go out and eat elsewhere in the neighborhood.

Loved our time here. Took my daughter here for her 6th birthday, for some bonding time and we had a blast! The food, service and room was impeccable. The only downside was trying to get to the actual venue, due to all the road closures and road works. We spent 40mins driving around in circles trying to gain access. Also the noise from the road works early in the morning, so couldn't get to sleep in, But it was a great break away none the less.

Big room but a little on the bland style. Food was good but not spectacular. Could have been 3 stars except that the service was very good.

The Good : Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a nice view. Lots of amenities: iron, ironing board, bathrobes, dryer, etc. The aircon works well.

The Bad : The proximity sensor in the room is a little bit off as the light in the bathroom went off while having a shower. The water in the shower can get very hot from time to time unexpectedly so it was pretty tough to relax while having shower. Since the shower didn't work that well, I turned to the bathtub but only to find out that the bathtub drain stopper was broken.

Suggestion: Careful room inspection is needed.

We were disappointed that our room smelled of deoderant and stale smoke. I know this is a problem for hotels these days but it was unpleasant. It dissipated over the three days we were there, so was obviously a recent event. Had we arrived the day before as we had planned it would have been even worse. When you have a 5 star hotel and charge 5 star prices, you leave little room for tolerance and we felt let down by this lack of quality control. Many of the staff were as good as you would expect - Reception was helpful, the room maid was lovely and a small mechanical issue was fixed within ten minutes. The breakfast was comprehensive but very expensive at $33 and no breakfast is worth that.

Staff is not helpful. There is a construction outside my room and at least 1 hundred Japanese teenagers going up and down. I came for work and I am not being able to rest in this conditions

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The service was far beyond belief. They swiftly handled our needs. Food at the hotel is high class and very delicious. The only problem was that the hotel was hard to get to as the construction in Auckland closes major roads. This is why I'd rate Stamford Plaza Auckland 5 stars.
