Worth a visit for locals or tourists. Plenty of activities, including free walks and mountain bike trails. An annual pass (saves money if you go more than twice) is a great way to expand the MTB options around town. NB: passes can be shared, so get one of the group to buy a combo including multiple luge and zipline or swing, and others only need the gondola ticket or annual pass.

We rode the gondola and had a buffet lunch meal today $57 ride and lunch) per person. We had a 3 course meal the biggest and fresh Japanese, Korea, Australian dishes along a 20 m servery great food fresh and hot. The roast lamb was the best, steaks just cooked to perfection just red and juice showing. What a great view we had a window table great service. We are two Aussies on a road tour loved this place great value. 26 October 2017

Very busy even on non public holidays or non school holidays. Lots of activities available, luge, zip line, swing and bike riding. Can be costly. Great panoramic view once at the top. Dining area also offers good view. Good selection of buffet, seats availability can take a while if busy.

Luge rides are fun for the whole family! The cafe is warm, inviting and delicious. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. And the Jelly belly shop is an exprience for sure

The luge offers about 3 minutes of mild excitement followed by a 40 minute (not joking) wait to go again. Great experience if you are an avid queue enthusiast. I feel like if I was waiting for a liver transplant I could have found a donor and had the surgery completed by the time I got to the front for another luge ride. Great views otherwise.

Skyline gondola is place of refreshment. If come here you can ride luge . It's an great refreshment place. This is my first visit but I will go again soon. It's really an beautiful place. If you guys want to do some luge ride and enjoy your whole come and enjoy. There are some rides like skyline , zoom zip lines , sky wings etc.

Have been visiting this place at regular intervals since my very first visit.
Beautiful city and lake views from Gondola.
There is a nice restaurant at top of the hill before starting on luge which provides beautiful night sky views through telescopes.
Luge is absolute fun.
The staff is more than helpful and friendly.
This place has expanded like anything in past couple of years.
Now there are biking tracks which you can enjoy watching if not driving on while sitting in Gondola.
Luge tracks have evolved and have been getting better every time.
More facilities have been added and accordingly prices have increased as well .
Definitely worth visiting after regular intervals.

Highly recommend the luge. It was so much fun! Our whole family really enjoyed it and we will remember it for a lifetime. Definitely not something they have in the USA, and was worth trying. Everybody was super friendly. There were some long lines, but the traffic flowed quickly so it didn't seem that bad.

Main attraction are the gondola rides to the top where restaurant affords beautiful views of Rotorua. Meals are a fabulous array buffet style. Salads and seafood assortments. There is also a winery on ground premises
as is a bike adventure thrill. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Restrooms are reasonable considering bus traffic of tourists continue to arrive from early morning till late afternoon 7 days a week.

I went up the Skyline for dinner and the stargazing. The dinner was good, even though I'm not a big fan of buffet style dining, but the real highlight was the stargazing. Two knowledgeable gentleman, four good telescopes and - after the dusk clouds had dispersed - a superb night sky combined for a delightful evening with planets, globular clusters, galaxies, stars, shooting stars and satellites.
