What a gorgeous place to stay. The lady at reception was lovely. The parking was a bit weird. They had me three car spaces from my room, but not bad really. The unit was awesome. Spacious, tidy, sparkling clean. The hot tub was to die for, this one actually works. The bed was a bit firm for me but I slept well. Did not like the pillows. Was close to town which was a bonus. Also close to a busy road, but you wouldn't think it. Loved it here.

My husband and I are from Boston, MA. We visit New Zealand every year and have stayed in quite a few motels. The Pacific Coast Motor Lodge is by far the nicest. The rooms are a nice size, very comfortable, and they are immaculate. The grounds are lovely and the location is very convenient. The staff is very friendly and very professional. We will definitely stay there again!

We stayed here earlier this year and it was great. Happy to accommodate us when we decided to arrive a day early. Highly recommend. We visit Whakatane regularly and would definitely make this our place to stay. Have stayed in the (now 2 bedroom) unit and a studio for 2. Clean and tidy and quiet. We have often recommended to others as the place to stay. AA++
