The food was good. Service not so good. No butter on one of the meals. No milk served with the tea. Drinks for 2 people forgotten not enough serviettes. And having to ask twice field these items.

I think it's the best cafe in waihi beach. You can not bet the location right on the sand dunes. You will have to queue during peak times so come early or after the rush. It's busy because the food is superb. We have only being for breakfast brunch but everyone enjoys the food, cabinet food looks superb and coffee is excellent. My only problem is I always order the same meal so I am yet to try everything, probably need to come every day. Maybe this summer.

Food is good, location is good, service is absolutely terrible. People working there need to learn better manners and be more welcoming.
Some are worse than others. From my experience, they are rigid, non-caring, and think they are always right and their customers a bunch of dumb hooligans.

For the record, if you want us to be seated put a sign.

Older waiters/seaters are worse.. they younger ones show more respect and are more friendly..

Great cafe with awesome views of the surf right outside. The food is excellent, though not on the cheap side. The cafe can be a bit difficult to find. Great atmosphere and staff.

An open-space cafe, with a good variety of choices on the menu and sweet slices etc in a cabinet. The coffee was very good. The cafe could be too noisy for some people with everyone in one space and not great acoustics. Nice views of the beach and friendly efficient staff.

What a fantastic and stunning venue. A big thank you to Mel and all staff at the Flatwhite Cafe for making my 30th birthday so special. The staff ensured we were happy and provided outstanding service throughout, nothing was a problem for the happy staff here. Food was absolutely delicious! Thank you again!

Stopped here a few times. Staff always friendly and food is yum with great presentation. Flat white cafe is a warm haven on a wet windy winters day. Since last visit the place has been extended with the front (newer) piece able to be sectioned off for private functions (yesterday was a wedding).

Nice café with a great view right on the beach. Good selection of food, including cabinet goodies. Slightly overpriced, coffee 4/5.

Very disappointing. Made to wait 25 minutes for 2 takeaway teas. When we asked if they were coming, blonde staff member was very rude and shouted across that they were very busy then continued to argue with us. We went to ask for our money back and found the first tea being made and the maker was getting the tea bag out with her fingers! We got our money and left. Terrible customer service. They are always busy so people obviously don't mind paying their high prices but I think it's a total rip off. Their best selling point is the location - lucky for them. Won't be going back.

Visited the Flatwhite for lunch with friends. Great location on the Waihi Beach. Good and fast service with friendly staff. Food was great all around. Pleasant ambiance with ocean view. Interesting historical pictures of Waihi displayed on the digital wall-screen. Great cafe.
