I come for the groceries part, never had anything at the cafe, but it looks lovely.
I can spend hours here looking at all the speciality ingredients you can’t find else where.
Good selection, super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Things are not cheap here, most things are imported and are just the price they are any where in the world.response / report this review -

The food and service here is always outstanding! The lovely staff are more than happy to help, and there is a wide array of delicious food on the menu. It's a nice place for a catch up with coffee or a meal. We go back regularly for the tiramisu!

It's located in a very random part of Christchurch, but just like it's sister store in Wellington, this place is SO good. We really went nuts here with appetizers, main dishes and dessert and all of it was really good. We also had an incredibly helpful waiter that explained several questions.
They for some reason limit their takeaway to pizza only, which is very arbitrary and I hope they remedy that issue soon.response / report this review -

Great little mediterranean produce store with a fantastic cafe attached. The pizzas are some of the best I have had in the last few years with a great base, nice tomato sauce and simple toppings.

Looking for something different? This is a little slice of the Med, slap bang in the middle of an industrial area. I must have driven past so many times and never noticed it. The food here has a true authentic flavour and they have a good selection of wine. The service is just as slow as any Med restaurant, but in the cool, comfortable surroundings, it adds to the laid back atmosphere. A good place to go with friends for a noisy, round the table family style meal, or grab a romantic table in one of the alcoves. Think creamy carbonara with a carafe of zesty white wine and you will definitely get the vibe of this gem. To boot, the shop attached has an amazing selection of fresh pasta and goodies from across the Medgo on, spoilt yourself!

Like a true Italian deli, carries the best range of pasta in NZ and also has gelati along with a proper café serving Italian food - a favourite.

Mediterranean food stuffs at high prices. But it is quality food. But very pricey. I suppose they have to import it from southern Europe, so that must add to their prices. Still, they are very costly.
