Lone Star Steakhouse since 1988 with many branches throughout NZ. All meats are premium-aged NZ beef. butttt. surprisingly the meat is not as tender as I think it could be.
Disappointed with NZ beef. Just the same NZ beef I got from Indonesia. US beef is still the best.

Friendly staff but ineffectual.
My green salad may never come - although as it all arrived in 5 to 10 minute stages (do burritos and burgers not get on well enough to share a tray?) it may have arrived.
Also like eating in a shed - did the decorator forget to consider walls?response / report this review -

Quite enjoyed our early dinner here. Super friendly staff. Had a starter platter to share and the portion was generous and well prepared.

Good meals, good fo rthe kids, if your going to book ask to reserve a booth the new seating arrangements are are little weird, Still enjoyed my thime with the family.

It was very busy the night we were there but it was a public holiday in a tourist city. The staff were great. Food was good too.

Liked the old location better. Some seating positions feel like your sitting in a hallway. Bar area is small and crowded.

Lonestar Rotorua is awesome thier new venue is great staff are always good and well trained manager always ontop of everything! Kids were in bed so decided to order our meals takeaway and they were just as good as in the resturant. Pudding delisious gotta try thier milky bar pud!
