Great host and Kaka came to visit every evening. They look similar to a kea. Close to downtown Oban yet private. Thankyou again.

Awesome accommodation. Not flash or fancy but very homely and has everything you need. Hosts very friendly and accommodating.

It looks to little but can you fish I don't know if you can't fish I actually give it three stars if you can't fish but kaka that means poop in english

We haved stayed at Kaka Retreat in 2008, 2010 and 2014 and the service and Hosts have always been fantastic. The self contained cotttages and the setting they are in cannot be beaten. The birdlife in the area is a treat and we even had a Kaka ( NZ parrot ) knock on the glass sliding door with its beak looking to be fed. We will be returning to Stewart Island in the future and would not even consider staying anywhere else.

What a great place for a family to stay. The Family units have separate bedrooms and full kitchen. All tjhis just a short walk from the beach!
