Looks like it's under new owners but things are a bit up in the air. Things weren't dirty but dated and a little grungy. The manager/owner was nice though and always making sure i was good. Very good value for what I paid!

Range of rooms to choose from depending on what you're looking for. Cheapest backpacker I've stayed in, really warm and comfortable, nice fire in lounge, awesome kitchen facilities, friendly staff.

Spacious double room for about $40 for Te Araroa hikers. Had a nice hot shower with good water pressure and fresh linen on the beds :) Don't expect a luxury experience, it's a regular backpacker accommodation.
