We had appointment at 2pm but they delay it one and half hours. After that even no negotiations. Well if you have really plenty of time to wait you can just wait. Cheers

Terrible. Do not use.
Rude, unprofessional crew.
The owner at the yard was great but he stayed behind.
No introductions, no safety talks, no explanations about how to fish or what we were catching.
We felt unwelcome on the boat, especially when the lines were tangled which is inevitable in such tight quarters.
Crew ignored us and spoke between themselves grumpily.

We had a really fun afternoon, we'd not done this sort of fishing before and it was fantastic catching great sized fish that were filleted for our convinence. The boat was really big, so there was plenty of room for all of us. The knowledgeable crew were kept busy rebaiting our hooks. And the crayfishdelicious. I'd really recommend them.

The most terrible experience ever! We are group of 5 hongkongers based in Christchurch and we spent this Saturday in Kaikoura expecting a day out with this company would give us an enjoyable experience plus some freshly caught fish/lobster for our dinner. Unfortunately our day started badly with our car's bettary got flatted. Credit should be given to the owner coz when we texted him that we couldnt come out with them coz we stucked at Point Kean Viewpoint, he came to help us jumpstarted our car. He is nice and helpful but unfortunately his crews are just exactly the opposite, or even worse! It took us ~20mins to the fishing location, once we got there, the crews started to set us up for fishing. Obviously we are not professional fishermen/fisherwomen so we dont know how to fish. Then our fishline started to get tangled and we asked help from the crews. At first they simply said no word, just seems a bit impatient, but after two or three times(from different pax on board, not just us), they started to get angry and saying F word. There were altogether 12 on board and apart from us, there were a chinese couple, a group of two chinese, others are native english speakers wherever they are from. Maybe assuming us HongKonger and Chinese don't understand English, those two crews start talking im our back between themselves. Unfortunately, again, we do speak English so we could understand what they are saying, talking how bad in fishing we are, how bad we screwed things up, and even told one of those native speakers that he didnt got much coz we screwed things up. They were incredibly RUDE. We went to the Kaikoura visitor centre to compliant them afterward, and the biggest lesson for today is, we should go on to tripadvisor before we picked this terrible company, coz they already got a lot bad comments there. For those who are considering to go with them, I strongly advise u not to, unless u are professional in fishing(not casual fishing, its deep sea fishing coz the line went as deep as 130metre, spacing between our fishing rods is about 1 metre, so imagine how easy those lines got tangled together), and probably go hv a look on trip advisor as well. Dont just trust what I said, do some research and I believe u will hv a nicer day out than us.
