Great accommodation from hotel room to family apartments with kitchen/laundry. Relax in the heated pools and hot tubs. Swim laps in the lap pool near gym and sauna. Restaurant & bar has yummy menu.

Top notch place to stay. Family and I enjoyed a week here during the ski season and found our time at Oakridge a real treat. Helpful staff attended to our needs providing useful supplies in our apartment. The facilities/ hot tubs and pool were all tidy and available when we needed them. Look forward to coming back again sometime!

Quite a nice place although very few basic amenities. If you are the kind of person who only eats out this might be ok. No kitchen at all, no microwave, only tiny fridge, no bench space. One tiny bin in bathroom only. Nice but not if you're trying to be self sufficient.

Hidden away is the fabulous Resort and Yes with outdoor space pools .
Fantastic in winter as well as summer.
Lovely rooms . Pleasant staff and a great restaurant. I do suggest strongly that you book in and stay there, use the pools and relaxresponse / report this review -

Decent gym. The hot pools are very warm. Good wifi, especially good signal in common areas. Sauna was a bit disappointing as it didn't seem to get very hot. Otherwise decent place to stay two nights.

My experience is rather pleasant with this place - sizable rooms, very clean and sufficient facilities. It is about 2km from the town centre, considering how low key Wanaka is, this place is considered quiet and outskirt-ish, which is just what some people are looking for.
The only thing that takes the point off is the WIFI. it gives you free wifi but it is slow that drives you nuts, and half of the time it won't work! why can you just offer a simple password like the mac donalds? whats with this username/pwd thing that sessions out all the time? who is stealing wifi here that you want to username protect it?
Once you get over the wifi bit then the place is alright. it has very good pool and gym too if you are into that kind of thing.response / report this review -

Great place to stay. Till nextdoor had a party till 2am in the morning!! Called reception no answer 3 times!! Party continued!

We got a clean room a bit off the main building which was basic but still pretty nice and clean. Free amenities like the pool and the gym were a plus for us. The hotel is a bit outside the city but reachable quickly via car. -1 for poor Internet connection.

Stayed in 5 hotels in 7 days at the beginning of November 2016 and this hotel, while perfectly acceptable, stood out from the others because of what it didn't have.
The room didn't have a safe that I could find so that was disappointing. This was the only place that charged for WiFi - at only $10 it wasn't much but again, it stood out for this reason. The door was frosted glass which let a lot of lovely light into the room but at night the security light in the porch shone directly into the room. The blackout curtains keep the light from coming in the windows but that was negated by the glass door.
There weren't enough accessible power points to be able to charge my three devices and the location was a bit further out of town than I expected.
Staff were lovely. Nice to have easy parking just right outside.response / report this review
