It's like a mosquito caught in amber. Like a restaurant caught in time. If you have to find a place to take great grandma and the family your pretty safe coming here.

I've been here quite a few times with groups & just a few of us. The menu is fairly basic but well cooked and the price is very reasonable. Service could be better but on the whole is an enjoyable place to eat.

Food -- very average. Was expecting something like 'Speights Ale House' etc., but was disappointed.
Drinks -- Terrible (none of the OK wines on the list were actually available, took until we'd almost finished mains to finally get some Steinlagers (seemed like the only drink they actually did have) after finding that their beer list was no more representative of what they actually had than the wine list.
