I wish I could give 4.5! This is by FAR the cleanest holiday park we’ve been to and we’ve been to quite a few. You can tell that a lot of thoughtfulness has gone into every detail. The kitchen is huge, clean and has seating like a restaurant which is quite cute. There are also bbqs that are free to use as well as ample outdoor and undercover seating areas. The recycling is the most thorough I’ve ever seen. The grounds and simple but comfortable with a beautiful rose garden. There is a games room which was a lot of fun on a rainy evening. The gentleman that runs the park is so kind and helpful. He even let us borrow his tools. Just a all around great park! Would highly recommend to all. Thanks!

Clean kitchen and bathrooms. Free hot showers. The wifi is very expensive. $20 per person powered or unpowered spots.

Park is neat and tidy. I booked a powered site and they are twice as large as other parks. Very spacious. The park isnt within walking distance of the main town though. Probably a 5min drive away. So if you're looking for a quiet place this is for you.

Excellent value for money, facilities are spot on. Two arcade machines, pool table and air hockey in the games room too! Had a great time here.

Great place. Everything very clean and a great set of hosts. Stayed on the 22nd of September at their facility. The washing machine and dryer were clean as well. Paid $45 for a night with 10gb data, a campervan powered and 2 adults

Awful camp site spa isn't a spa just a small hot tub that isn't even open! You have to ask and wait for 1h30min to get in then pay 5$ per person for half an hour!! (Also when we asked about the "spa" that it is not she recommended for us to go to use a different campsite one)Camp site is a mess and run down! The host is miserable and just cares about the money! Walking distance is 3km so 1h30min walk to town that isn't a walking distance more like a trek. We decided not to even stay there and have gone to stay at the all seasons kiwi holiday park in town that is walking distance from town and that does have a spa pool and is cheaper!

We have spent two nights at Great Lake Holiday Park and thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The owners and staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are clean and the showers are hot!

Excellent kiwi park to park up your campervan
Excellent place to park up your campervan after a long trip on the road.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
All the facilities were close to our powered site and all free to use (Kitchen, Toilets, Showers, lounge).
We stayed here twice after leaving Auckland to Wellington and then back to Auckland.
We will definitely be staying here on next adventure.
We totally recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean, quiet, relaxing kiwi park.response / report this review -

Non Pwr is $24 for 1.. good size park lots wild rabbits.. kitchen, washrooms modern and clean with tv internet lounge to relax in.. comfy sofas.

Had booked site for one night 5th Feb and unfortunately I had an accident the day before and could not travel due to suspected # of humerus/ sprain wrist. Rang to advise and to get refund or part of but was told NO.won't be back

Stayed two nites for taupo concert and once again great service and our 1bedroom unite was clean comfy and well equipped for us 3 ladies. Staff was very helpful and friendly see you same time next year Vicki and thank you 😆
