This was the most wonderful place to stay on Stewart Island. Our room was more than comfortable with coffee, tea and biscuits available at all times. The house is surrounded by a fascinating garden that looks out onto a valley full of Stewart Island birds. We could see kakas, tui, and a host of others right up to the deck with a great panoramic view. Raylene, our host, went above and beyond in making us welcome and comfortable. She is knowledgeable on so many different topics and was most helpful in arranging things for us during our stay. Breakfasts included homemade yoghurt and jams, a range of cereals and pretty much anything cooked to order. This place is a gem on the island.

Glendaruel is the most perfect Bed & Breakfast. I loved spending my time on Stewart Island there with Raylene in her beautiful B&B.
