Recently My husband and I went on a vacation and stayed at Glenavys Waitaki River Motor Camp on 19 August 2017. Arriving at late hour of the night, Anne who is the lovely owner welcomed us warmly amidst the cold temperature, taking all patience to explain details and information in ensuring comfort of our stay. The Cabin was cosy, though small in dimension but was definitely easy in design and essential function was provided. Personal hygiene was demonstrated too. The bed was so comfortable that we were in deep sleep the moment we landed on the soft mattress. It was a perfect stay for the price we paid.

Easy and chill out place. It's just on the road. Pretty nice hosts, the lady was really kind and helpfull. Also her husband show us where we might ask for job. Defenitely i'd come back again

Superb place. Perfect for salmon fishing in waitaki river which is about 300 meters away. People are friendly and the place is beautiful.

Didn't even know this place existed but when my current plans for accommodation didn't suit I went hunting on google and found this place. I called up and asked if there were still tent sites available and was told yes. Drove in 20 minutes later and was pleasantly surprised.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly woman at the desk. As the park was not busy at that time I was told I could pitch my tent anywhere I wanted. There was plenty of room and a trampoline which was well used by my 2 1/2-year-old. I didn't use the kitchen or lounge as I had bought my own cooking gear but couldn't fault anything.

The park was well maintained and I will definitely be going back to stay again in the near future!

Awesome place awesome hosts. Cabin was modern and warm, kitchen was spotless as were the toilets and showers. Grounds were beautiful, and the hosts were friendly and keen to socialise. Thank you Joe and Anne. I have found my home away from home. I will definitely be back.
