We weren't trailed around the venue but given time to peruse the furniture. After visiting 3 other places we returned to continue our search. Were approached when we indicated and had a very helpful lady give us all the information required AND made our purchase. Delivery advice was clear and now we look forward to receiving our chosen couch.

Cheap prices but service was horrible.. also when having a look around at the sofas, tables and chairs the representative Sandra set the wrong expectation for the timeframe of the furniture.
Sandra also hung up on us 2 times while following up on the phone.

This experience has been the worst I have ever had in all my years buying furniture. We have been lied to at every step along the way and from the original purchase in October I still don't have part of the furniture I bought.

First we were lied to about the delivery date, then we were left with a situation of having the piece we were waiting for being given to someone else (and told it was our fault) then waiting for a delivery in March and now April. Apparently it's Chinese New Year and that's the reason Furniture City can't deliver my furniture and why they lie.

NEVER use this store unless you want to be disappointed, I hope it shuts soon so no one else experiences what I have been through.

Do not buy from Furniture City.

We bought a chest drawer from Furniture City in Wairau Park Glenfield.

We noticed that the drawer tips over when all of the drawers are opened.
This is extremely dangerous as we know Ikea drawers with the same problem have already killed 3 children. As such, this product should not have been sold on the market.

We wanted to return the product to the store (bought within a month) but the shop owner refused to acknowledge that this is an issue.

So, please don't buy anything from Furniture City unless you want some poorly designed furniture, from someone who is unwilling to stand behind the product.

No more business from Furniture City.

Quality of furniture is rubbish. Could not put it together. When I have called up I have had the rudest service ever. I rang once to ask where the product was and was treated like crap and told Mainfreight would pick it up that day (Was 2 weeks after I bought it) yet they did not ring me for at least another week.
The dining room chairs came needing assembly which was impossible as the holes had not been drilled in the right place and I was told someone would call me and hung up on. Still a week later, no phone call. Surely this is not how people do business today?
