Great accommodation and good food plus friendly service
Nice charming place. We just spent a couple of hours after finishing a hike but would like to have spent a night there.
Great spot for a break when doing the Queen Charlotte
Beautiful lodge and views. Fab restaurant and lovely staff. Room was just amazing. Highly recommended.
Fabulous place, great staff and accommodation. But very expensive bar and breakfast.. Has a monopoly for walkers of qct
Stayed here 1 night while mtn biking the QCT and we wished we had been able to stay 2 nights. Fabulous location, incredibly friendly staff, and a beautiful and well-maintained property. We stayed in one of the suites. It was modern, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Food was generally good, although I won't order fish again unless fresh. The mussel cakes were excellent and huge. I will make a point of returning to the Furneaux Lodge in the future.
We didn't spend the night here, but we very much enjoyed a nice dinner off their bar menu in the evening (before the more formal restaurant dinner is served). It was reasonably priced and so nice to eat out on their deck. This lodge also has a great location right along the Queen Charlotte Track.
Nice garden. Hot apple crumble was delicious. Ordering at the bar. Serving our coffee took some time (while it was not very busy).
We booked a 2 bedroom cabin for 3 nights. Upon our arrival we discovered a mouse in the kitchen cupboards that had died there some time previously .. it was decomposing. The staff however dealt with it quickly. The beds were very comfortable but the kitchen contents were minimal .. no chopping board, decent knives .. so if you intend to cook your meals as we did, you may have to seek out equipment from the lodge kitchen. They were happy to oblige. The setting is beautiful and the staff were friendly however we felt the cabins were overpriced. Our cabin too had a distinct smell from the sewerage system close by .. this really needs to be sorted. Attempts had been made at the back of our cabin to fix this. Our cabin was number 1.
