Fantastic in every respect. We stayed here for a night and had one of the most memorable nights of our trip. The accommodation is modern and comfy, we dined at the restaurant and the food, wine and most importantly the people were amazing. I don't like Lamb and the lamb was so amazing it ended up being my favourite dish. The chef and the the waitress were great to chat to and experts in their craft, I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. If you come here and don't have a good time it's a reflection on you and you suck as a human. The people are amazing, the food and wine is great and if you come here to enjoy yourself you won't be disappointed. Cheers to the Chef (sorry had too many wines and can't remember your name and Larissa) absolute legends. If I could give you 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough. Thank you so much :)

    Cockroaches!!!

The hotel itself is nice with big rooms and right in the heart of the vineyards. We would have loved staying there if it hadn't been for a rather terrible first night. We checked in at reception and were given room 4. We entered and were amazed by the location and how spacious the rooms were but here they were: three big cockroaches!!! One on the ceiling, one on the bathroom wall and one on top of the aircon. Disgusting!!! I ran to reception in terror and showed the lady at reception the pictures (even filmed it) and she told me there were no other rooms available but that there is insect spray below the sink. We spent the next hour killing those things and then left to drive to Picton for dinner (couldn't eat anything anywhere near there) and to let the insect spray settle. The next day we asked for pest control to be called and we were given another bottle of insect spray by the receptionist. This was a truly disgusting experience and we were offered no discount no nothing, other than insect spray.
The staff told us that this was normal as the hotel is in the middle of the vineyards and cockroaches are common in Blenheim. Still don't think that should mean that I should live with cockroaches in my hotel room!!!

Close but not 5 star. Stayed for one night and was not impressed. No TV in bedroom or heater but a heated blanket (didn't they die out in the 80's) no anti mist mirror in bathroom, no slippers and the bar closed at 8pm! and to top it off they left our continental breakfast outside the door all night exposed to the elements.
    P.s. Brie should not bounce!
Will not be staying there again!
