A nice small hut in the Mt Richmond Forest Park. If you plan on visiting during summer, especially peak Te Araroa times you may need a tent. There is however plenty of camping space around the hut. If you are not planning on staying I would not recommend visiting, as it is a 200m drop from the main track, elevation that you will have to reclimb to return to it!
