The service was a bit lacking, but the food and coffee were good. The Eggs Benedict were a little plain with just eggs over salmon or bacon, it would've been nice to have some greens on there, but the flavor was great. Their waffles were nice and fluffy, too.

This place really lived up to the hype.
I'd heard good things and from the outset they made sure we sat where we were comfortable, were well informed about the menu and offers, and answered all our questions and requests.
The food was great tasting and reasonably priced. The look is cool. The staff were lovely. We didn't drink but I'm sure it was just more of the same!response / report this review -

Cozy cafe. You can order to go or stay and enjoy the decor. They have two different rooms upfront and an outdoor space in the back, so there's lots of room, but it still feels cozy. Really good food, diverse menu.

Nice atmosphere and very famous locally. Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, they do not have much vegetarian options. I ordered take away frozen coffee it was yummy but not happy with take away quantity given that price is $7 its still small cup. 4* for friendly staff and nice frozen coffee!

A great place for catching up with friends and family. Situated in the famous Cuba Steet it has indoor and outdoor eating spaces with plenty of good food to choose from. 4 stars

Amazing breakfast and coffee. Went there twice just to try out the waffles with banana and bacon. Didn't disappoint. I had two cups of mocha as they were so good!
If you're in Wellington, must definitely come here once for breakfast. Friendly staff as well and might look small but quite spacious on the inside.response / report this review -

Very popular breakfast place. Great ambience. Had the Fidel Feast (delicious and good helping of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and tomatoes, along with an eggs benedict), waffles with fried chicken and almonds (loved this best), and a salmon bagel. Great Latte. Service staff were very busy but still made a big effort to give good service. Reasonable prices.

Really nice atmosphere, good food, fast service, lovely staff and a lot of seating so no wait. I was so pleased to see so many delicious vegan options in the cabinets here. The menu prices aren't competitive for the area for the same kind of food, which is why i can't quite give the 5 stars. Otherwise, the cabinet food prices are reasonable.

There is a reason why this place is so busy, it's a national treasure. Great coffee, awesome food and is family friendly. Come and absorb some culture they said. I did and was deeply impressed.

Best cafe food in Cuba Street. Best milkshakes anywhere in Wellington. An iconic social institution which never gets stale or sloppy. Service is efficient and friendly and sometimes charmingly indifferent. Great place day and night.
