Ordered burgers and lamb shanks after walking Tongariro. They were delicious and when they made a mistake they came to our accommodation and hand delivered the correct one which we hadnt even complained about.
    Thankyou.

Good pub food, nothing special but mostly one of the best value for money you can get when you are in National Park

They had just changed the sign from open to close but welcomed me in for making a burger as the last order for the night. I just asked for a burger and fries and skipped the drink so they took off $2 from the order without even asking. Nice family run place that I would return to.

Went to Eivin's tonight for some dinner, came out satisfied and much safer.
We enjoyed the lamb shank (wife says it's one of the best) and the chicken burger, both exceeded expectations!

The staff are like family, and they made us feel like a part of their family; there were three generations of women there tonight and a great barman - all lovely people. Can't fault the hospitality; we were nervous about driving our compact car on the ice-laden roads at night and they told us about the caution points on the road and speed recommendations.

We are definitely going back again, I need to try the lamb shank and might even use their rental service so I know that my money is going to a well deserving family.

One word would describe this place - brilliant ! We enjoyed every bite of lamb shank (don't be putted off by piece of kiwifruit, just eat it with meat), highly recommended after skiing or snowboarding!

Not sure where all the five star reviews come from.
Walking in, there place smells of fried food. I think they need a better extraction fan. We ordered lamb shanks which are hard to screw up. Ours were underdone, and unimaginatively served with undercooked potatoes and onion. The mint sauce was very sweet, I suspect they addressed a commercial mint sauce to the gravy.
Drinks selection was fairly poor. Don't expect to find anything other than the mainstream supermarket brands here.

Best lamb shanks ever, awesome cosy and friendly atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, food all presented nicely and tasted just as good as it looked!

Extremely enjoyable location to spend an evening. They are extremely friendly and will go out of their way to make sure that your experience is enjoyable. I can't say enough good things about this location. Their food is fantastic and they accommodated my allergies extremely well. I will definitely be going back any time I am in the area.
