We had a very pleasant day in the eco lodge, welcoming staff and beautiful place. They did everything they could to makes feel at home and solve all our problems giving us a nice cozy bigger room to spend a quiet beautiful evening. Highly recommend it!

Very nice manager Lynn helped us with our stay in New Plymouth. They have a friendly cat that loves following people even down to the steam to 'help' feed the eels!

Nice hostel,with chilled and quiet atmosphere. Tue management is always there to help or open for a good chat. The kitchen facilities are in good quality and some Nice pets make this place really cozy

I tried to put a low rating but this automatically gave it a 5 . Personally I would have rated this visit as a 1 star. Absolutely shocking service re:booking. When first booking an answer with in minutes of sending email. Tried to cancel booking by email no response 2 days later so I rang only got answer phone left a message again no response . So the next week sent an email asking to confirm booking as a change of circumstances so was now able to go . Got an email back within minutes saying they had no booking for me. It had been booked and paid for in Early March. So I let them know the details. Then received a confirmation of booking. However when I turned up today I had no booking. The receptionist was lovely and got me a room but I will never come again. The shower block was outside around the outside of the building. Two cubicles with shower curtains but no privacy for undressing and dressing. Very disappointed with this experience 4 years ago I was in a better block but this visit has soured my whole weekend. Had a very bad night with young guests partying then arguing at midnight and sounded like the room being smashed. Then woke this morning to water dripping onto the bed and in the room from the I assume a sunroof with very discoloredcorrugated novalight. My recommendation is book else where as i will be doing in the future.

I stayed in a dorm over the Womad weekend and I felt it was a most wonderful place!!! After a very busy day with thousands of people around it was a beautiful quiet haven. Beatiful bush and gardens! Managed by a lovely person, helpful and considerate! Kitchen is very well decked out and the facilities adequate. I will definitely go there again . Liesbeth

Beautiful hostel completely surrounded by flora and fauna as well as a water stream. Very affordable price. Hugely underrated!

A lovely cottage-like camping lodge owned & run by Lynnette, who is very friendly and talkative. She'll quickly make you feel like at home. She's also very friendly and talkative, and will go above and beyond to help you and to make your stay very enjoyable. The facilities are of good quality. If you look for a fancy lodge with modern facilities such as tv in each rooms, then this is not for you; however, if you look for a lodge to help you connects with nature, your surroundings, other people, and make you feel peaceful, then this is one of the best place to be in.
