Cute little hotel. Well set up. Friendly staff. No meals but it is above a restaurant.

Amazing room and decor. I loved the lounge room to relax in before heading out. Fantastic central location. So easy to all restaurants, cafes and bars. I didn't drive a car or get a taxi all weekend. Professional, helpful staff who not only go out of their way to help you but make you feel special. Highly recommended and way more affordable than those larger hotels who treat you as a number. Have recommended to my out-of-town friends. Totally amazing experience. Thank you State Hotel

Fantastic place run by fantastic people. Absolutely spotless, really comfy, great value and position right in the heart of city. It suited us perfectly when we went back to New Plymouth last time and we'll most definitely be back. Well done team - awesome place !
