I'll be completely honest. This was my first time trying Dos Amigos in Mission Bay today and it was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced in Auckland. The waitresses were lacking manners. It seemed like they didn't want to have their job. Whenever my friend asked for water the waitress rolled her eyes as if doing what my friend asked was soooo hard to do. My friend then had to ask the same waitress for the water we requested 30 minutes ago and this time my friend had to ask for the desert which was ordered 40 minutes earlier. I felt sooo disappointed at the whole experience. You should be careful on what type of people you hire! At least hire people who knows customer service skills and not standing around gossiping skills. I watched carefully what these waitresses were doing instead of trending to customers

Fantastic restaurant and environment. Visited this place when I was visiting New Zealand from the the states. I was skeptical of Mexican restaurant in New Zealand but this place BLEW ME AWAY!
Owner Lizard was awesome and very accompanying. Staff was friendly, professional and fun. Food was fantastic, one of the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of Mexican food due to living in south Florida. On top of all that the scenery is amazing. Nothing better than eating good food, drinking margaritas and looking out at Mission Bay.

The atmosphere is great to have a few cocktails and chat with friends, and if you are looking for some good Mexican food in Auckland then it's a date. The restaurant is situated in the buzz of Mission Bay and one can easily pass the time just sipping away on a variety of cocktails and tequila and if that's not your style how about having a authentic Mexican beer and some Nachos. Even though it is a Mexican restaurant you would expect the food to be very spicy and have an over powering chillie flavor but at Dos Amigos Cantina they have catered for the New Zealand taste bud so it makes it perfect to bring the family around to laugh and dress up in some of they costume hats that the cantina loans you while you dine there and eat some good Mexican food.
