I can see how this could be the an awesome place to be after a good snow maybe the best place I have skied because it is so secluded. But without grooming, it can really suck if it ices up. They ended up closing the mountain because of poor snow conditions and the top lift wasn't working while we were there. This is certainly not a place for families with kids as the tow rope system is complex, difficult to use and potentially finger crushing. They also say breakfast and dinner is included which it was and is fairly basic, but dinner was extremely small and I was glad we brought our own stash of food. I ate as much of our food as they served during all of dinner in the first night and I am not a huge, growing teenager. It was still beautiful and there is little pretentiousness here.

Best kept secret in the Southern Hemisphere D'oh !

(small correction - it's not at Sheffield, or Springfield, but the latter is 'warmer')
