I like shopping here everything is easy to find. A nice compact store. The staff are always friendly and helpful .

Always found staff helpful
Aisles much better to walk down. Variety of products good. Love being able to do shopping on internet and the delivery staff always bright and helpful. My one complaint is that the small trolleys have no hook where one can hang a shopping trundle on which PaknSave have. This hook keeps clients trundle off the floor and keeps hands free to push trolley.

This one is in Taupo.
As all Countdown malls, this one also all food varieties.
Fresh fruit and vegetables. Cheese, butter and all dairy products.
Packaged food bread.
Good collection of wines and beers

You can find a little more options in some foods, veggies or fruits than Pack n Save, but is a little more expensive. The self pay boxes are great if you are buying less than 15 things.

The carpark needs to be redone, the staff were not overly cheerful. Empty shelves and a confusing lay out. This countdown needs some love compared to the others I've visited around the country

Countdown is just another supermarket - the one in Taupo is supposed to be their busiest but they don't really stock a great variety of things unless it's their own brand. Maybe it was just the day I went in but hmmm only two tills open and the 12 items and under till had no one there to serve you. They have a very poor selection of fish in the fresh fish section - I use Pak'nSave for my fresh fish.

Typical supermarket with everything you would need. The service is great. The only downside would be the intersection to get out of the carpark. Not impossible, as courteous drivers let you out, but only about to turn Sth, not Nth. No big problem though.

We shop at counydown all the time in Auckland so during our short trip to Taupo popped into the local countdown yesterday afternoon and were hugely disappointed. Found the veggies and meat section quite limited with quite a few shelves empty. Would not recommend.
