Outstanding place for a getaway. Well equipped and comfortable. ..including a log burner with dry firewood supplied.
The views are brilliant and the pet farm animals are adorable. Sam is a fantastic host and her hubby Darren is a real kiwi farmer type bloke ( rare these days).
Only a few minutes drive into Taupo I would thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage to all.

Lovely host! Area is beautiful and cabin location is great. That being said, the place really needs insect screens. Located on a farm, you have flies, and with no AC and bad ventilation in the bathroom, you need open windows. Every night we had to kill a dozen. Also the place could really benefit from some good cleaning.

We had a great stay at Taupo farm lodge. Our son loved the pet sheep they had there and was very excited that animals were just next to the lodge. Samantha is a great host, freshly made bread was so delicious. Will be back.

The views are breahtaking. Animals are curious, some really friendly they come by the fence and almost 'interact' with you. The lodge is hosted by Samantha, she is really nice and she bakes the 'world's tastiest bread' (thats how my son sums it up). Location is not too hard to find and quite conveniently close to places of interest.

We stayed during the school holidays in October 2014 and our three kids absolutely loved it - the wide array of animals and the wide open spaces. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable, and the location spectacular. The hospitality shown by Samantha was much appreciated and we would thoroughly recommend a stay there. We'll be back :)
