Well it's a large supermarket. Has good range of products, fresh and tinned. Some imported English beers. Pleasant and helpful staff

Big supermarket, lots of parking space, friendly and helpful staff. Right now the store is renovating and the whole place is full of construction materials but seeing the part which is finished, it looks like the store will look excellent. The store timing is 0600 to 2300 till March 8.

Great supermarket containing everything you need. Staff are always handing out samples which adds to the experience. It also has a great checkout and self checkout ratio to there customers so you will never be waiting to long. Only downside is parts of the interior are run down. Overall I was satisfied.

Can't wait to see the renovations finished. As with most supermarkets here, would love to see an expanded international section with a greater variety of British goods. Overall good shop, especially since it's 24/7

It is a big supermarket that contains everything for the general needs of everyone ranging from fruits, vegetables, salads, cosmetics, snacks, drinks, bakery, household and other items. The ground floor of this supermarket has a big car parking for more than a hundred cars. The supermarket is nicely structured with everything clearly labeled and easy to navigate. Staff members are friendly, relaxed and efficient. The store is open 24 h. Shopping is always a pleasant experience here.

I was waiting at the Countdown car park around 5.30pm for my daughter to come back from work. When she was got into the passenger side, a stranger ( around 20 to 30 years old) knocked at the door tried to talk to my daughter. He was looking very doggy. My daughter open the door and asked him what he wants. He said he wants money. Everything happened within a second. I was started to panic. But there were a security guard came on the spot through another side really fast. He was talking to the stranger and side-tracked him. That gave us a chance to get out of there fast.
I really like to thanks to that security guard. I hope he is ok and safe. He was the best worker ever and also thanking Countdown Auckland City, 76 Quay street to having this marvellous service for the customer safety. Thank you.

This is one of the standard Countdowns in town and definitely one of the larger ones in Auckland. It has pretty good variety of foods and has a large international aisle as well - probably to cater to the multitude of different tastebuds living in the city centre.

Good store but allowing someone to push in front of another customer was rude, very rude! Just because they went off to another line thinking it was faster when it wasn't does not give them the right to push back in line where they were then pretend they do not understand English and the check out operator says its ok then babbles on with them in their own language. Rude consider English is our language and they are rude enough to speak in a tongue others do not know.

With countdown being air conditioned it used to be wonderful to step into the basement car park after shopping and get a whiff of the sea breeze. The current whiff is of urine from those that have chosen to relieve themselves before entering one on the cheaper places to buy beer and wine on the waterfront.

Not the best supermarket, it is quite small and had limited variety. Additionally, this place is very crowded, often having to wait in lines for a long time only to self checkout. Go down the road to New World, it's much better.

A full line Countdown located only 5 minutes walk from Britomart Transport Centre and Queens Wharf. Very convenient for those visiting the CBD. It is open 24/7 and comes with 3 hours free parking.

Lots of variety, everything you need for groceries are here. Really good place for tourists to buy some New Zealand branded food products like chocolates, cheese and biscuits to take home as gifts, and cheaper than the souvenir shops.

Not a bad shopping center. It gets a little hectic inside and parking can occasionally be difficult. They didn't have a lot of the odds and ends you'd think they'd have. No pencil sharpeners anywhere, not in the school supplies and not even with the makeup pencils. Their fresh food selection is good as well as their candy section.

Whether you work in the city, or live in the city,. this is a good place to go to get a quick grocery grab. They do seem to be a touch more expensive than the prices you might otherwise pay out in the suburbs. But they do have most of what you need and the queues are not too long even at busy periods.

The store has everything you need, however they need to organize the self service checkouts better to accommodate for the after work crowd. The line will go on forever, and all due to not having a item limit, and not opening more express lane checkouts.

Also not every self service machine has paywave, which considering how common it is at every other countdown, is surprisingly sad. With that said, there is no clear indication which machine has paywave or not which makes it a bit more of a hassle.
