The team at Chaplin Crooks were absolutely brilliant from start to finish in the design and management of our building project. Greg in particular had unfaltering attention to detail, a hard work ethic and an exceptional manner with all members of the rebuild team. He was extremely attentive to the individual needs and aims of the project and was also able to work with the builders to curtail spending where possible whilst ensuring high standards were met. 100% recommend. Worth every cent. Thanks so much! Gemma

Recently we photographed a residential property for Chaplin Crooks Architects. Greg was great to work with and gave us a clear brief.

This contemporary home photographed well. A wow factor was added with their smart design and use of natural light with the contrasting black-stained cedar wall.

We also got to see first hand how much the homeowners enjoyed their new modern space.

Great work!

We have had the privilege of working with the team at Chaplin Crooks Architects for numerous years on Architectural housing projects throughout the Canterbury area.
The team led by directors Stephen Crooks and Greg Miller have provided us with certainty on all the projects we have worked with them on for not only their project documentation but their ability to work collectively with the project team.
One of the keys to a successful project is relationships, something Chaplin Crooks fosters extremely well, working with us as a building contractor, the client and collectively working as a team to ensure the clients expectations are met and exceeded every time.
Their documentation is amongst the best out there, as a builder we are exposed to numerous designers’ documents across the Canterbury region. Chaplin Crooks drawings, specifications and support documentation is thorough, articulate and well laid out. This makes a considerable difference to us as a contractor ensuring the scope of work in all detail is captured and quantified at the pricing phase of the project enabling the client to have certainty in and around their budget and avoiding horrible surprises along the way.
We have engaged Chaplin Crooks Architects recently in two separate multi-unit residential projects as part of the rebuild, again working with them as their client as well as the contractor has only reinforced our opinion of their technical knowledge, high level documentation and ease of use regarding communications and maintaining great working relationships.
I would strongly recommend their services to anyone wanting a great design, backed up by great people and service to match.

As an owner operator of a building company that has worked for Chaplin Crooks Architects since 2006 I have only good things to say about all aspects of all the projects that we have completed together.
All the designs we have built have worked well and the homeowners have always been really happy with their new or updated homes.
A great plus for us as builders is that the working drawings are clear and most of the information required to build is actually on the plans with the associated notes on the plans
I am sure that any building project designed by CCA will be an experience you will be pleased with

We've had excellent service from the guys and girls at Chaplin Crooks - and they are great people to work with. They designed our house when we built 12 years ago - everything went well - we've loved the house - and it came through the earthquakes no problem. Twelve years and two growing kids later it was time for another room. Jane and Greg have nicely designed in a new room and sorted the engineering and council consents for us efficiently and painlessly. We've been impressed with design knowledge and also process experience for getting the job done efficiently. Definitely can recommend.
