Thank you to the Amazing Team at The Black Swan.. What a fantastic venue to have a Birthday Party. Our Mother was so impressed as were all her guests. One of the few places in Rotorua that has a view of Lake. AAA plus from us :)

Whilst the grounds and view are lovely it is about 4-5kms out of town in a suburb of Rotarua and overall our experience was not great value for the premium price charged.

Wood construction means noise from guests/staff travels easily and may interrupt those that are not early risers.

Outdoor/covered Jacuzzi and indoor Sauna on site were good. Included Breakfast in Dining room was pleasant enough.

Excellent hotel with outstanding service. Arthur and his staff went above and beyond and continued to ensure our stay was the most enjoyable it could be. Well appointed rooms with immaculate maintained grounds. Highly recommend this stop if you are staying in the area. If so please take Arthur up on his offer to arrange the helicopter tour to White Island.

Mr. Arthur the owner is very nice and friendly guy. Very good rooms. Specially prepared vegetarian breakfast. Perfect location very peaceful.

The proprietor, Arthur, was awesome. He lent us some movies for our stay and was very helpful with recommending local tours. He'll arrange a truly epic helicopter tour for you and the helicopter will pick you up right in the back lawn of the hotel. Just be sure not to stay in one of the downstairs rooms of the main building, the floors are incredibly creaky and people are moving around all hours of the night.
