  I was shocked to find the parking spaces for the disabled in front of the store have been replaced with parking for mothers.I have no problem with providing parking for them but they are normally much more able to walk a short distance than people with ambulatory disabilities. This is now an inconvenience for me who needs a walker to walk distances therefore relying on being able to access a trundler close to the entrance. I try to time my shopping times to when it is likely to be not busy.
  This combined with the frustration of being penalised for only wanting one item on special which means I have to pay more than other people who can buy the two for one on offer I.e. Melting moment biscuits@ two for$7 one for $4.99 Not fair for pensioners and singles who don't want or need two for one items.
  Will now change my shopping venue.

  Purchased some Oreos, when opened they were white. They expired 4 months ago. Went back into the store to find another packet - all were expired in every flavour. When the checkout lady who processed my refund brought the store manager Kevin over and explained what happened he just said ‘Oh’ and walked away. Didn’t look at me or acknowledge me at all. Won’t go back to a Countdown.

  Cool, it was the only supermarket open at 0630. I'm a pak n save person but they don't open early enough here

  Apart from the out-of-order self-service checkouts, it's as bright and cheerful as a supermarket can be. Wide aisles are always welcome. RT

  Clean, spaceous, good variety, in store bakery, self checkout. Sufficient parking. Nothing extraordinary. What you expect from supermarkets under this banner. Not the cheapest around.

  I wasn't expecting much from this store, we arrived quite late in the evening and first impressions I assumed this was an older (run-down) smaller store, but as with many stores I discovered in Rotorua, they actually do things on a larger scale than Auckland and they do them very well. This store was very tidy, has wide spacious aisles and a really nice feel to it.
