I would say this is the beat motel we had out of the 4 hotels we stayed at on our holiday around the South Island. Location was perfect, less than 5 minutes walk to the supermarket and various fast food restaurants. Staff were very friendly and offered to show us to our room and help with our luggage.
The room we had was beautifully clean and very modern, amazing shower and pressure that didn’t go hot and cold! Very comfortable big bed. We definitely recommend this motel and will be coming back again! Thank you guys keep it upresponse / report this review -

Owned by people who really care. Great 100% kiwi hospitality. My wife and I were on a motorbike tour of the South Island and we had arrived in Dunedin at the worst time of the year, unbeknown to us. It was orienteering week for the University and every room and place was booked out. Heavy rain clouds were looming, we were exhausted after battling strong winds and had absolutely no idea what were were going to do. We called in and asked if they knew of any available rooms and they opening offered up their own private home for us, amazing. I watched how they interacted with other guests and their friendly welcoming nature was obvious. Modern facilities and located handy to St Kilda beach, the Otago Peninsula, supermarkets, takeaways and restaurants and it was very quiet.

Got to Dunedin with hubby on our motorbikes, and found there was no accommodation. anywhere. Went and asked Richard about any possibility of a room, or if he knew anywhere. He was fully booked, but he and Sue welcomed us both into their home for the night. We were even treated to a cooked breakfast. Thank you so much Sue and Richard, for going the extra mile, for a couple of Nelson people who didn't book accommodation.

I had an incredibly relaxing stay here. Its central location made it ideal for both popular destinations (tunnel beach, albatross colony, and penguins) and the excellent restaurants in town center. The manager was very kind and welcoming and made sure I was well taken care of. Thanks Sue!!
