  So great，a good place to enjoy a fantastic and peaceful holiday, or even a weekend. Owner is so nice, you can get everything from him which u need.

  Dirty and worn out. Shower floor had crack held together by tape. Carpet, furniture and surfaces dirty. Looks like bought by new New Zealanders and no maintenance or upgrades since. Units need a full refit.

  We are walk-in guests stayed at room 8 and its very horrible experience for me and my family. I think the owner/manager should consider the reviews of the guests because this is very important. Seriously the room is dirty, smells like it has never been clean. Cobwebs, dusts, toilet bowl still having poop on the sides , cutlery not clean properly, in my point of view being woking in hospitality industry this is so unacceptable, why you keep accepting guests when you cant even clean properly and to think the location of ascot vale motor lodge is in riccarton, such a competitive location. We stayed a few motels in riccarton they are all lovely place to stay. When i have my training in housekeeping the things i have learned is:
  1. Make your guests comfortable
  2. Clean thoroughly the toilet and bathroom
  3. Make sure the beds dont have hairs.
  4. Always make sure the cutlery is clean &shining
  5. Dusts every furniture
  6. Its a big NO NO NO to cobwebs.
  Im not being rude here. Its just i dont want other families to experience what we've been through especially when you have kids.

  Very disappointed. Had room booked the day of earthquake. No way was going into town. Called to cancel reservation. No refund or anything. The owner was extremely rude and unhelpful. Would def stay away from this palce
