  This is another place to fly into from ktm instead of luftka. And start your trek from here, in a more rural area.

  Originally flying to Lukla, our plane was diverted here due to inclement weather. Honestly, I was scared really scared. Why? Well the solo flight attendants face said it all. We landed on a gravel (apparently paved now) mountainside landing strip. I'm all for adventure but this really pushed it. Taking off was just as bad if not worse. This airport makes Lukla seem easy seriously. If you do get diverted here, plan to stay for a day or two until the weather clears. When it does, be persistent to the guards and flight attendants about getting back on the plane. Have fun! Namaste!
