This is the Bharatpur Airport.It is located middle of Bharatpur.There have small fun park and big securoty of Nepal Army and police.There have Buddha Airlines, Yeti Airlines And Sindur Airlines for different place of Nepal.Like Pokhara,Butawal,Kathmandu and others places.There is also wheelchair feasibility.

Not enough local routes of flight for different places of Nepal. Good service to Kathmandu but flight is expensive.

We had purchased some brass budda souvenirs and had packed for the airplane. Not expensive, just ordinary gift shop stuff along the roadside. Airport Security searched our bags and had us pull all of them out and tear them open. They made a huge deal about it. 4 or 5 security around acting like we were smuggling drugs or something. Demanded to see the

itemized receipts of all of them. Hello you don't get a receipt most of the time let for anything. Let alone itemized. ( should of asked them "do you have a receipt of lunch today ). Not sure what country these guys were from. Finally we found/showed them the credit card receipt which we fortunately kept, but this wasn't good enough. Lucky we had the merchants business card ( fate of luck we asked ). So they called the merchant. All of this and 45 minutes of hassle for some stupid budda souvenirs we were let through.response / report this review -

A small domestic Airport. Convenient for tourist who wishes to get to the Chitwan Nature Reserve. Facilities are basic. No air conditioning, no food or beverage service. Toilets are clean though and acceptable.

Bharatpur is the airport you fly into to experience Chitwan National Park. The airport is conveniently located, a short ride on a carriage pulled by horses will be the perfect way to get to Chitwan National Park.

It is not so busy and is fine for travelling to KATHMANDU.. Some flights are available for Pokhara too..
