Comfortable hotel in Bergen's city centre. The single rooms are quite small. When you have a larger suitcase you should unpack it and store it somewhere else. The award-wining breakfast is amazing. Friendly and service-oriented staff.
The breakfast is outstanding. The rooms are simple and clean. The staff is very efficient.
Single queen room a little small but nothing terrible. Plenty of lights you can use in the room. Shower head has strong pressure and adjustability. Shower door saves bathroom from flooding. At 5 ft 9 in and 165 lbs I had no problem fitting, but the shower might be too small for a very tall or large person. I did not try the breakfast. The location was great and allowed me to see a lot in a day. I think the walls might be a bit thin but I don't recall hearing enough to be an issue, just a few random noises.
Edit: Had to edit my review because in the second night I realized just how thin the walls are. I can hear more voices than daredevil before he learned to control his powers.
Room is small but quite comfortable. Could use a bit more attention to cleanliness, hence the three stars. Staff are very friendly and location is quite convenient to the airport bus.
Place is closed to all nearby scenic and the breakfast is good. However, problem with the room. We ask a queen size bed bit got a full bed. They said this is Norwegian queen which is a. American full. We also stayed in Oslo chain store but they have the so called American queen.
Amazing breakfast!! Very friendly staff and clean, nice rooms
The room smelled a bit like mold and the double bed was small. Otherwise, the hotel seemed newly renovated ans the breakfast was fantastic!
Great location and great staff. Always great to come here after a long trip to rewind and relax. The breakfast offers a great variety of choices.
Very good breakfast buffet. Nice, friendly and smiley personnel at reception. Very small room.(maybe it was because I only started for a night) . Plumbing problems at the shower. It has a restaurant. Center of the city. Good prices.
This hotel is showing its age and is in need of refurbishment. Scandic generally offers a 'no frills' experience, but this was pretty bare-bones even by their standards. No gym (it's a membership in a club across the street), despite what they allude on their web site ('our gym'). My room was tiny, even by Scandinavian and Scandic standards, which is pretty impressively tiny, and the street noise can be loud on the lower floors.
The main pro is that the location is great - very central and easy to get to anywhere you need to go downtown.
