It's not a pretty building, and the views aren't that great either. Instead of being at a calm spot, the surroundings are pretty busy (a road goes all the way there) and noisy.

The "Blue Teahouse" is a lovely place to spend some time in Vondel Park. On warm summer days, this place can be filled to the gills, so be prepared to wait in long queues for a decent list of beers and wines, and a nice generally freshly made food items. Recently, they've been offering Thai snacks in the garden; it was filling and fresh, costing about €8 per dish.

There are swing benches/baskets out by the side to relax when it's quieter. A little annoying to have to PAY for the WC/toilet even as a guest throwing down €80 or so for a table of 4! Get that together Blauwe!

talk a walk around the vondelpark and definitely you'll find this nice place right at the centre, so take a break and have a warm coffee to relax the mind

I enjoyed my first glass a the special beer on tap that that they were serving so I ordered a second one. They charged me full-price for a half glass of beer. The bartenders suck bitterballen.

I ordered hot chocolate and the waiter decided to put ice cream on me without asking me. Of course I was charged more with this in the final account. Also, the glass was dirty because the chocolate poured into the waiter from the glass while walking.

The guy who makes the coffee was insecure and lacked basic human social skills. He knocked over a bowl of teaspoons while we waited for our coffee, then proceeded to insult our taste in coffee because he felt he looked like an idiot.
Table staff were friendly. Pie is good here, not worth insults though.

Exuberant staff that will sing along with you to the classics. Feels like you're in paradise even on a rainy day with the energy the staff puts out.

Do yourself a favour and don't order the salad. Just don't. Under any circumstances. Extra points for the friendly waiters and the free tap water they gave me, tho.

Nice on a good day, location makes it special, otherwise just an average cafe with basic things

Awesome location but ordering food/drinks feels like you are in a canteen. This place could need some love and better service.

This is a good location in the center of the park. We stopped in for coffee. The drinks were alright, but there was difficult to find a table inside or outside to sit, and it didn't seem like anyone was cleaning up the tables when customers left their trash behind so it was dirty.

Cool building with nice views of the park. Nice selection of drinks, but their food is definitely more suited to snacks (don't come here for a meal). Very slow service in my experience (10+ minutes before any service at all), but it's a nice break from walking around. Great for Pokemon with 4 PokeStops all within reach. In fact, we saw a few groups of boys charging their phones, hanging out, and playing Pokemon :)
