A wonderful park with a huge variety of animals. You can feed animals with a guide, and be close to the animals. I was feeding lemurs with my boyfriend, and they would climb up your shoulder, rest on your arms or just hold your hand. It wasn't the last time we went there. A perfect place for young and old

Most animals walk around freely, and those who don't are easily watchable from a distance. The lion and tiger exhibit is amazing, they're taken great care of. The staff is friendly, and they love to tell you more about anything you'd like to know. Really a nice place to take your kids to if they aren't too afraid of big animals

Great zoo, it has a much more animal friendly feeling then your regular zoo. They have a fantastic birdshow, and there is an amazing hunting simulator show located in the Lion Foundation building. Hoenderdaell is by far my favorite zoo, and it's entrance fee is really low.

Love how free most animals are, the alpacas are casually crossing the path to get to the other end of their field. The lion exhibit is something else entirely, there is a hunting simulator to help them get back in the wild and you can get super close with the lions outside at their cages. There are wolves, European and Antarctic wolves and bears and the new home for the bigger birds is still being build but I had an awesome day!

Fantastic lion and tiger sanctuary with many other species also for observation. Ethical Ness has been incorporated so that the animals are at all times the ones that come first special barriers make great observation points to see the cats. Food and drinks are also available to buy. Lovely place for locals and tourists. Educational and fun for all ages.

Family friendly park with a large variety of animals. Free parking.consider the year membership instead of the day ticket.

Landgoed Hoenderdaell is a big Zoo,
The train many animals like Hawks, Eagles, Owl. They have a lion foundation where they train the lions to hunt there prey In a simulation..

Great park, which also hosts "stichting leeuw", an organization that houses big cats coming from everywhere except from the wildlife itself. For the full experience it's advisable to get the workshop with lions/tigers.

Pretty big zoo in Den Helder. Each animal have enough space so they seem to live naturally. Many different kinds of animals from across the world. Not so smelly except lion corner. There's play tools for kids,i.g.balloon sand so both adults and kids can enjoy there.
