Luxurious roons for a not too expensive price. Most room include a shower, bath and balcony. Staff was very friendly and compliant with all our wishes, although they were not alwayspresent at their respective locations. Food and beverages are great though quite expensive.
Location is great, next to the "oude rijn" river. But not at a central location. Car is recommended because shuttle from train station is not available in weekend and the busses are unreliable.
Big pro is the lazy sunday checkout, but only available whe booked via their own site.response / report this review -

Nice comfortable hotel with a very good breakfast by Dutch standards. A bit outside of the main town but walkable to the university.

This hotel does everything perfectly, every time. Beautiful location beside the water and close to university, with a shuttle service. Option to have a kitchenette-style room. Restaurant is very good (and popular!).

Nice and clean place. One big disadvantage is the fact that the double room bed is not one (queen or king size bed), but two single beds next to each other, which are not even attached, so you are continuously struggling to get yourself out of the crack in between the two beds.
Also the bed covers are very very tiny - they hardly cover your body if you lay very neatly straight in your bed.
Also they have a shuttle going to central station and Lorentz center, however the shuttle fills up very quickly (has only 6-7 places) in the morning hours, so it practically a virtually not existing shuttle :-(response / report this review -

Liked everything about my visit. Breakfast was great! Only non-likeable thing is that the light in the bathroom was very dim and made the room feel very small.

I've been there just for lunch. My meal was great. The personnel was correct and adequate, but not very friendly. Decor was nice, but not very 'natural'.

We were gifted a valentines dinner at this hotel by the city of Leiden. We ended up having a great four course meal including fresh fish, delicious duck and a dessert with various small treats! To top it off they recommended a good wine!

Incredible hotel. Rooms are super comfortable, the breakfast is extremely complete and we can seat by the canal, with a great view. Also there is a small but well equipment fitness room.
