Great location within walking distance to the central train station even if you are dragging a bag. Lots to see and do and eat convenient to your door if you stay here. Loved the off season rates with the Indian summer weather (10/17)Clean room, lots of hot water but too small for5 stars.
It is in great location, very near from Central station & Red light district, it's bit noisy at night because front of the hotel have karaoke night club, so around 2.30 also sound was coming from that club. Beside that it's fabulous hotel.
The hotel room was lovely. Really well made in such a small amount of space.
The only mirror in the room was in a place you couldn't use but that's minor compared to how clean and comfortable it was.
There was a slight smell of sewage so that was a little off putting.
We were on the top floor so take suitcases up very narrow stairs were difficult to say the least.
We were asked to be placed in a quiet place so were given the back room and it was quiet enough for us which was great.
Location was perfect, everything was within a 10/15 minute walk so would definitely stay again.
The rooms are super small, but in a good price and location
Lovely little hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Great location, very clean and comfortable. 👌
It is in a great location! The bathrooms are very new and even have hair dryers for guests to use. The hotel rooms are small, but so are most rooms in Amsterdam. There is also no air conditioning, but this too is common in Europe. Overall, a great European hotel.
The building is in the heart of Amsterdam (near Red Line District). Comfy bed for a reasonable price (if booked in advance). The reception/check-in is at the pub Old Nickel.
The host was really kind, nice tiny room well furnished but to drunk noises from the street..
The hotel is cozy, clean, its staff is nice and has a great location. Everything is near by, plenty of bars (there is one in the hotel itself), restaurants, the Red lights area is literally just around the corner, two minutes to the main train station. That was very important to me, as I had to commute to a smaller city near Amsterdam in the first couple of days of my visit. Also, most of the "must sees" are on a walking distance. The only drawback is the noise you have to put up with until the early morning hours. So, I would recommend earplugs, if you want to get some decent sleep :) if you're into it :))
Clean and very friendly Expensive drinks but clean rooms
Room is tiny, but location is great
I was a guest here 7 nights in the summer of 1971. The key is the good location. We remember the mosquitoes and the beautiful bar downstairs. Everything is quite nearby, and apparently has changed very little from that time judging from the pictures and the other reviews, which I have no doubt are quite accurate as they dovetail neatly with my pleasant recollections. See if the bartender will show you the liar's dice game of 'snuff. 😎
