Horrible hotel, i counted 4 holes in the wall, insects on the floor, towels had holes in them, sheets were stained on every side even down to the matress. Very dusty i had to take allery medicine. Very dirty and walls needed a good paint. The lift was like something out of a horrlr film. Do not book if you dont like lifts. Dont waste your money

Potential to be a 5 star review, but so poorly maintained. Holes in the wall, broken taps etc. Great location and the room is very nice if you look past the damages.

The room was in a bad condition: stains on the curtains, damaged furniture and walls, sink didn't work well.
It's very loud, there's no sound isolation. Especially, with the construction work outside. If you still are planning to stay at this hotel - I recommend buying some earplugs.
There's no reception, the "sister" hotel where you can leave your luggage is far away.
The room was very cold. In general, we had a feeling that we're sleeping on the street: so loud and cold it was.
From the good parts, I can mention the comfortable bad and the good location.
I recommend trying to find other alternatives before you decide to stay at the hotel Maxime.

My girlfriend and I have been here for few days. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is efficient and helpful. There isn't a reception, instead for the last day we could leave our luggages in the sister hotel.
It is in a strategic position, near Vondelpark and near the city center.

Great hotel, no reception so don't count on any service. But the rooms are perfect and clean, nice bathroom.
Ideaal located near Leidseplein (Leidse square) and public transportation nearby within walking distance.

The hotel was OK. When we arrived our code didn't work but after calling them they fixed it. The room was very small but good enough for few nights. The shower doesn't close (there's no door) so it was pretty cold. They used mobile heaters though so we could take one and put it in the bathroom (which is neither ecological nor very safe).
