Staff are most welcoming and will try to accommodate with anything you may want, breakfast is more than sufficient offering a varied choice, selection of meats, cheese eggs,breads, pastries, fruit yoghurt, cereals etc . Hotel has tram stop immediately outside which will take you directly to the city. This hotel is excellent value for the cost.

This place is a disgrace, when I returned home, I realized I was bit by bed bugs all over my body. In extreme discomfort. This hostel needs to be shut down, it is a hazard to the general public. Staff is unhelpful and rude, and do not give a refund for your stay. f*** this place.

Looked ok from the outside, reception area presentable. Then we entered the access corridor for our room, filthy carpets, and very run down. On entering room large chewing gum mark on floor. Went to look out or the window, nets old and stained with cigarette burns in them. Generally disappointed, only redemption was the bathroom nice and clean with decent size shower on the whole though quite unimpressed.

Location is fairly good and the service was decent too! Our room was the polar opposite however. Woke up sweating 4 or 5 times, there's no air conditioning. The room was a little too pungent too. Average comfort. On a cooler day I might've given an extra star.

Very dirty and sketchy hotel. Odd musty smell everywhere. We had bug bites in our room!! It was very hot in the room also, with no way to cool it down. There was no wifi connection from our room either so we had to connect to the burger place below us. Could not wait to check out of here.

For what you pay for this place is great. Modern bathrooms, comfy bed and clean. Ticks those boxes very well. Location though You'll need the team to get into the city. It's will set you back 2.90 euros each way but the system is easy to use.

Old hotel, dirty hallways, personnel at reception is looking at you like a soldier looks at an enemy. They asked me to pay 9,5€ of city tax although in my booking the city tax to be paid was 4,20€. Impossible to sleep at night because next to the rooms there is a common balcony that is assaulted by young people at night to smoke weed there and speak loud. So rooms smells like joints. And hallways too. Windows in rooms are just for light, they do not open so it's impossible to recycle the air and if you feel hot you cannot neither open the window. Bathroom clean, breakfast good.

Bed bugs in both our rooms

Unfortunately my 14 year old brother was attacked by bed bugs all over his body from head to toe. Both my sister and brothers' bed had copious amounts of bugs infesting the mattress and linen. My brother was affected much more than my sister. Due to this issue, we were left in the hospital for several hours with a doctor, this stole a full day of adventure and enjoyment from us, particularly considering we travelled from Australia. We will never be returning to this hotel, period. Update your facilities for the sake of your customers safety, health and hygiene.

We thought the bites would disappear within 24 hours, however, they got considerably worse and after our stay in France, took a lengthy visit to a British Hospital.

Attached are images of the bites with a cream we just received after a prolonged wait in the hospital.

Don't expect anything fancy for this price but it will do. The room is small but fine. Everything works and there is hot water. I just found that some channels on the TV don't work that's a shame. Parking is paid from 9:00-6:00 pm so that's nice.

There were rats in the room. When I wanted to talk to someone at the reception I was told that I have to wait until he finishes his meal (which he was casually eating behind the reception) . After 30 min of waiting he said that they cannot change our room and we have to sleep there. We couldn't sleep there obviously because we saw two huge rats running under the beds and another mouse in the rubbish bin. After a lot of arguing they gave a us a double room with one double bed even though we were 4 people. We knew that there were empty rooms with enough beds for all of us ,but they kept saying that this is the only room they have at the moment. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone,everything was dirty and unpleasant.

Very good for the price.
I travel to amsterdam alone so needed somewhere easily affordable. The customers who left the bad reviews obviously expect far too much when it comes to a budget place. The beds are comfy you get towels hand soaps n shower gel n every thing included. Transport is great here too everywhere is accessable.

This seems to be an old hotel turned into an hostel. The rooms may look like hostel rooms, but it lacks many of the characteristics of a good hostel, such as good shared spaces (there is a huge lobby, but it's empty), a guest kitchen, friendly staff, etc. The room was also not the best I've seen. For example, the shower barely worked, I felt the springs in my mattress and some beds squeaked quite loudly and our window was on an outdoor hallway with a huge and noisy ventilation unit The centre of Amsterdam is about 30 minutes away by bus or tram. I would not recommend it for someone who is looking for a lively hostel, but it can be a good cheap hotel.

You get what you pay for, cheap and cheerful. Basic room, clean enough and close to tram line & some stores. The noise from the street below wasn't great but added that holiday vibe. Cats roaming the corridor, not sure what that was about. Breakfast served in basement and was almost like a youth hostel type dig. No major complaints though.
