Cozy, great location right by the train and the rest of the city. Only complaint was having to wait until 14h for my check in time and the walls were very thin. But delicious breakfast and courteous staff :)

Bellow average hotel for the price I paid. Tiny rooms, standard bathroom and small breakfast. The only real positive side is the center location.

Good location in Amsterdam center, about 5 minutes walk to Amsterdam Centraal. Nothing special, single room is extremely small.

Everything was good but the coffee was kinda bad, room was really hot, orange juice had to kick pulp, and would have liked Apple juice

Excellent service, although the rooms are quite small, but then again that is normal for Amsterdam. However, the location is an absolute WIN WIN! So close to Dam Square as well as the Centraal Station (10 minute walk from the hotel).
The only downside is that the hotel does not have room service, except for breakfast which is served buffet style at the hotel, but a few feet away from the hotel you get a wide variety of restaurants, so you can't really complain about the lack of food.

Great hotel, in the center of the old city, walking distance to most Amsterdam attractions. Nice staff, good service and very nice breakfest is included. Free wifi in every room. One minus - no air condition, only heating, so this hotel is less suitable for July and August stay.
I recommend on this hotel and probably will stay there in my next visit.

The Hotel Citadel is fabulously located both for walking to the Central station to take boat tours, or to many tram and bus lines which can take you everywhere. Safe, clean, and with a friendly and always present staff. I very much enjoyed my stay. I would however advise taking an upper room to reduce street sound and to have the beautiful view of the old buildings across the way.
