really nice staff! the rooms are compact but thats normal for europe. the location is perfect, and the room i stayed in had a wonderful view of the road and palace! I would come back here again if i were to come back to Amsterdam. oOOOOOoo also, there is a little cat that sleeps on the couch in the reception room (amazing)

Couldn't say enough about how wonderful this hotel was. The rooms are on the small side, as are the bathrooms, but to be expected. The service is great and staff is very friendly. We will be back.

Very friendly staff - very hospitable, welcoming, accommodating. Steep stairs, which is usual in Amsterdam, and small room and tiny bathroom. The shower was good and hot though. Room 301 has a small, covered balcony. You can hear street noises, but, again, probably to be expected. Great location near centre, station, restaurants, etc. Clean, comfortable enough, good place for one night or to use as a base to explore the city.

I thoroughly enjoyed the small, but well-appointed room, great location, and wonderful breakfast. The staff was very friendly as well. Be prepared for near-vertical stairs, which are not for the faint of heart.

Honestly one of the nicest experiences I've had in a hotel. The staff couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and to help out. Very secure, great central location, lovely room, fantastic clean bathroom with a brilliant shower. I cannot find a single fault with Hotel Clemens. The wifi was brilliant too both in the lobby but also a separate network when you are in your room. It is clear that the staff and management here gave full attention to detail and it shows. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
